Playing Experience

Alex has been playing tennis for nearly 10 years and has always been involved in competitive tennis in various forms. When he joined the University of Greenwich in 2006, he immediately joined the men's tennis first team and won many important matches, helping the team go the entire 2006/07 league season undefeated and win the BUSA South Eastern league and the University of Greenwich Team of The Year award. In 2007 Alex was appointed Greenwich Uni Men's first team captain and was promoted to Chairman for the 2008/09 season where he led the team to a very respectable third place in a difficult league containing teams from universities such as UCL and LSE.

Since the beginning of 2009 Alex has also been a fully paid up member of Crescent Tennis Club in Sidcup (Kent). Originally starting on the Men's 2nd team, he proceeded to beat 5 of the 6 members of the first team squad in the Crescent summer club tournament including good friend and fellow coach Ernie Wellhausen in a very close 3 set final. Alex has since moved up to the first team and has very recently been made Men's first team captain.

Alex also regularly competes in LTA ranked competitions in the South East of England so if you are interested in taking lessons from someone with regular LTA matchplay please contact Alex for more details.
